COLLEGIATE SPORTS CLUB
Collegiate Sports Club participants are groups of fee-paying students and Recreation Center members college-age or above, voluntarily organized through participation and competition for the purpose of furthering their common interests in a physical activity. Members have the opportunity to enhance their experiences at CU-Boulder by becoming involved in the administration of club programs through leadership, scheduling, budgeting, fund-raising, etc. Programs are open to everyone from beginners to seasoned experts. Club Sports differs from intramural sports (comprised of various intra-University teams playing one another) in that club teams have regularly-scheduled practices and part-time coaches, and intramural teams do not.

INTRAMURAL SPORTS

Intramurals at the University of Colorado at Boulder is an outstanding activities-based program designed to provide a competitive opportunity to students, faculty, and staff. Participants may compete on an individual or team basis in a variety of sports and activities and at all skill levels and do not have to be highly skilled at an activity to participate. In fact, activities encourage all participants’ competitive desires and attitudes. The primary goal is for every participant to have a great time. Teams are formed in a variety of ways, such as by residence hall, fraternity/sorority, off-campus group, and many more. There are no coaches or team practices since teams within the university play other teams within the university. Only fee-paying students and members of the Recreation Center are eligible for intramurals.

THE KAYAK CLUB AT CU
The Kayak Club at CU is for anyone interested in kayaking. Our primary activity is whitewater kayaking on rivers and creeks, but we also go to competitions, go on multiday raft supported canyon trips, play kayak polo and occasionally take sea kayaks out on a lake for a day or overnight. For beginners, we teach basic skills you need to get on the river. For veterans, we provide a group of people to help you learn the higher points of kayaking. The club also provides all the gear you'll need, so you don't need any of your own gear.
